CRM-PnTX-G
Certified Calibration Solution for Pinnatoxin-G
Pinnatoxins (PnTXs) are a group of fast-acting cyclic imine toxins initially identified in shellfish from Asia [1-5]. Subsequently, a number of novel PnTX analogues were detected in shellfish from Australia and New Zealand [6]. PnTXs are produced by Vulcanodinium rugosum [7], a dinoflagellate initially isolated in the Mediterranean [8]. Recent studies have shown a widespread occurrence of PnTXs in shellfish from Norway [9] and Canada [10], where PnTX-G was the prevalent analogue. CRM-PnTX-G is a certified calibration solution of PnTX-G in methanol (with 0.01% acetic acid) with a concentration of 2.77 μmol/L.
