CRM-OA
Certified Calibration Solution for Okadaic Acid
Okadaic acid (OA) is a toxin produced by marine dinoflagellates that is implicated in diarrhetic shellfish poisoning (DSP), a gastrointestinal syndrome caused by consumption of contaminated shellfish. The maximum permissible total level of DSPs (OA, DTX1, and DTX2) in shellfish is currently 0.16 mg OA equivalent/kg in whole tissue [1]. CRM-OA-d is a certified calibration solution of OA in methanol and isa replacement for CRM-OA-c, which was released in 2007.
